The following is to clarify a rule that has been in existence, but has likely been overlooked by many:
Individuals that have bounties placed on them may, at the discretion of the leader of the Hunter's Guild, have said bounty removed. It is required that the individual seeking the removal of the bounty conduct a role play with the leader of the Hunter's Guild and
submit the log via the website for the wanted flag to be removed. Once the log is received, an immortal will check with the leader of the Hunter's Guild to verify its authenticity. If approved, the bounty will be removed and the individual that placed the bounty will be fully compensated. I want to emphasize that the removal of a bounty is at the
discretion of the leader.
Although the leader has an implied obligation of good faith and fair dealing in the consideration of removal, he or she is by no means obligated to remove a bounty. One example of why a leader may consider removal of a bounty is that the current bounty price is insufficient given the reputation and skill of the individual bountied. Of course, such reasons are ample and I will not attempt to exhaust them here. Other existing rules regarding bounties remain in complete effect (i.e., checking with the immortal staff before claiming a bounty, etc.).
Abuse of this privilege by any and all parties will result in severe punishment as determined by the Knights of Darkness immortal staff. Any concerns regarding abuse of this privilege should be reported to an immortal as soon as possible for consideration.Note: There are plans to give the leader of the Hunter's Guild a command to remove such bounties in the future. Of course, there will be appropriate logs of its use so it can be monitored by the immortal staff. However, role plays will still be expected to be carried out and submitted through the website. This rule will be appropriately modified in the future when that change occurs.
